About the Artist
Following retirement from a career of college teaching, David made a casual pastime of wood turning into a new vocation. His studio is in his home, a large Victorian in the cultural heart of Buffalo.
Almost any kind of wood can be the subject of one of his turnings, but he prefers to work with hardwoods found in Western New York. His delight is to create objects that reflect the character of the wood.
David's turnings include salad bowls, decorator bowls both large and small, boxes, vases, plates, ikebana flower holders, goblets, Christmas ornaments and bangles.
